Entry #2

Earlier today I passed a big sign with the words "Welcome to Las Vegas!" on it, and about fifteen minutes later I found a coyote, which I turned into a nice meal. Even though I'm not a big fan of coyote meat it made a nice change from the squirrels and rabbits I had been living off of. It was kind of stringy though, now that I think about it.

Right now I am hidden rather well inside a circle of pine trees, so I think I will be able to rest for a while without any humans seeing me, and speaking of humans, they are virtually everywhere! I wonder how many humans are in a single city, anyway. Maybe I should climb a tree sometime and see. No, that would be stupid! I would be seen for sure.

Anyway, I found a big crack in the ground that the humans call the Grand Canyon and I wanted to go check it out, but it was just swarming with humans! I decided to check it out sometime at night when all the humans are sleeping.

I have decided that I am going to start traveling south the day after tomorrow, because it is getting colder faster than I thought it would, and I definatly don't want to be around when it snows! Ugh, snow. What a horrible thing. It's cold, sometimes slushy, sometimes hard, so white it sometimes hurts your eyes, and it really, really hurts when hard snow gets blown in your eyes.
