Entry #6

I'm still traveling. At least it seems to be getting a little warmer. At the moment I am resting inside a small cave under the roots of a tree. Some of the roots are poking through the hardened dirt and hanging down. I suspect that the dirt is hard because it was mud once.

I kind of like doing these journal entries every two days. It gives me more time to do other stuff, like hunting, flying, swimming, and traveling. Speaking of traveling, I have found a series of underground tunnels that appear to be all connected. I have been in them a couple times already, and they are definitely dragon-made. You can tell when tunnels are dragon-made by the claw and tail marks left over from the digging. I plan to use these tunnels to travel in the daytime much quicker than I would be able to travel above ground, and at night I will surface and fly until dawn.

Yesterday I made the unfortunate mistake of trying to catch a porcupine. I don't know why it never occurred to me that I might get poked, I guess I just wasn't with it. Anyway, I spent most of the remaining part of the day carefully removing spikes from my nose and front feet. The cuts still hurt, but they should heal quickly. Small cuts always tend to heal quickly on dragons.
